DESCRIPTION

What is mentorship?
Is it for me?
What can I learn and gain from it?
If i become a mentee or a mentor, what impact will it have on my personal and professional development?
Should I find a mentor for myself?
And if yes – how?
These are just some of the questions we will discuss jointly with the audience, in an interactive presentation and Q&A session.
Within the Creative Hubs Network partnership, UPTEC welcomes CRU Cowork (Porto) and Nova Iskra Creative Hub (Belgrade, Serbia) currently engaged in the second round of Creative FLIP peer-to-peer exchange and mobility scheme for creative hubs from across the European continent and its neighborhood.
Within this exchange, guests from Belgrade, Nana Radenković, co-founder and program manager of Nova Iskra Creative Hub, and Dragana Jevtić, co-founder and director of Creative Mentorship organization which is one of the coworkers in Nova Iskra hub, will share their experiences and insights on benefits and values of mentorship for creatives, with the aim of the implementation of the new CRU Creative Mentorship, addressed to the creative class in Porto.
This program will focus on various topics around mentorship and its specific value for personal and professional development to the upcoming leaders in the field of culture, art and media.
We are very much looking forward to meeting all interested professionals and future professionals from the field of arts, culture and creative industries in Porto and sharing our knowledge, experience, passion and enthusiasm.
About Creative Mentorship
Creative mentorship was developed in Serbia 8 years ago as a bottom-up initiative, from the need which was recognized by initiators. Since then, through every new cycle and new generation of mentees and mentors, the program has been further developed and improved. Creative Mentorship promotes mentorship as a way of lifelong learning and exchange of knowledge and experience between established professionals, mentors and emerging professionals, mentees. So far, 5 cycles of the program were realized with more than 250 participants..Our network represents 250 ambassadors of the idea of mentorship, knowledge and experience sharing, and mutual support.
In addition to running the mentorship program in Serbia, the mission of Creative Mentorship is to spread the information about mentorship globally, about its value and impact, both on individuals and the society as a whole. As this organization started from the need, as a bottom up initiative, we know all the do’s and don’t of running a mentoring program, and are happy to share this knowledge to support organizations of creatives around Europe and wider to start their own mentoring programs in their countries.
